Prof. Kenneth Boffard

Professor Boffard is Director of Trauma at the Level 1 Milpark Hospital Trauma Centre, as well as Professor and Clinical Head of the Johannesburg Hospital, University of the Witwatersrand.

He is a former President of the International Society of Surgery and Intensive Care (IATSIC), past President of the South Africa Trauma Society, and former Fellowships in Surgery of RCS England, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, the American College of Surgeons and the College of Surgeons in South Africa. In addition, he golds Honorary Fellowships of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI) and American College of Surgeons amongst several others. Professor Boffard is extensively involved in research and education surrounding Trauma Surgery and Critical care, with 4400 citations on over 100 publications. He is also a Freeman of the City of London and a licensed helicopter and fixed-wing pilot.
