The Trauma Conference

The International Trauma Conference is the flagship event of the ICSM Surgical Society and is widely recognised as one of the most prominent student-led trauma conferences in the world. In 2025, the International Trauma Conference will celebrate its 20th anniversary under the theme Currents of Crisis: The Trauma of Tomorrow. This milestone event will reflect on two decades of progress while addressing the evolving challenges faced in trauma medicine today. With its reputation for delivering high-quality educational experiences, the International Trauma Conference continues to combine cutting-edge knowledge with practical insight, reinforcing its position as a leading voice in trauma education worldwide.

ICSM Surgical Society

The Imperial College School of Medicine (ICSM) Surgical Society was founded in 2005 to inspire and support medical students pursuing surgical careers. As one of the most active student surgical societies in the UK, it provides a platform for students to explore surgery beyond the classroom through lectures, workshops, and practical skills sessions. The society is affiliated with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was highly commended by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012 for its contribution to surgical education.

The society is dedicated to covering a wide spectrum of surgical learning, offering opportunities for students to develop both anatomical knowledge and practical skills. Its student-led approach creates a dynamic environment where members can engage with experienced surgeons, refine their technical abilities, and gain valuable insights into the profession.
