Frontline Trauma Simulation: Battlefield Injury Immersive Workshop

Wet workshop: This workshop requires PPE
You must watch the pre-session briefing video
We are proud, for the first time, to collaborate with Casualty Resources to deliver a unique, high-fidelity moulage workshop. This immersive training will recreate the aftermath of a blast incident using expert role-players, amputee actors, and advanced prosthetic effects to create unmatched realism. You will be placed in high-pressure battlefield scenarios where they must carry out critical care procedures, make rapid clinical decisions, and work effectively as a team under intense stress. The experience is designed to enhance confidence, resilience, and precision in managing complex trauma in the most challenging environments.
-
Apply a Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT) rapidly and effectively to control catastrophic extremity haemorrhage in a simulated casualty.
-
Perform a cricothyroidotomy with accuracy and confidence to secure an airway in a compromised patient.
-
Position and secure a pelvic binder correctly to stabilise suspected pelvic fractures and reduce major bleeding.
-
Carry out needle or finger chest decompression at the correct anatomical site to relieve a tension pneumothorax.
-
Demonstrate effective teamwork, communication, and decision-making while treating highly realistic casualties portrayed by amputee actors.
-
Deliver these critical interventions under pressure, maintaining clinical precision and composure in challenging, time-sensitive scenarios.
