Amputation

An exciting opportunity to learn more about Digital Amputation and describe the prevalence of Diabetic Foot Ulceration in relation to risk factors leading to Lower extremity amputation. 

We will explore the classification and type of amputation level in lower extremity and describe general principles of Metatarsophalangeal Amputation as well as primary skin closure technique post digital amputation using bovine/pig feet. 

Delegates will have a hands-on experience of the procedure and the ability to ask questions to demonstrators to learn it as a first-time experience or refine their technique.
