Basic & Advanced Surgical Skills

You will start by learning to identify instruments and their particular uses in surgery.

 You will then be guided in tying knots, both using instruments and by hand.

We will then cover the skills of interrupted and continuous suturing. 

You will have the opportunity to learn and practise vertical mattress and horizontal mattress sutures. We will also be covering subcuticular suturing. 

Delegates will have a hands-on experience of the procedure and the ability to ask questions to demonstrators to learn it as a first-time experience or refine their technique.
